苴却砚是中国名砚之一,石材产于中国西南攀西大裂谷金沙江沿岸(四川省攀枝花市仁和区平地镇、大龙潭乡境内)的悬崖峭壁之中,此地古称“苴却”,故谓之苴却砚,以其丰富的膘、眼、线、纹等众多石色称雄于砚界,被誉为“中国彩砚”。其石色紫黑沉凝,石质致密细腻,莹洁滋润,发墨如油,存墨不腐,石晶绚丽丰富。

“中国攀枝花苴却砚博物馆”是全国第一家砚台博物馆。此Logo运用规范制图标准,主图形由文字“砚”的小篆演变而来,表达了砚台在中国历史上有着长久的历史和文化底蕴。在图形的右下角加入了一个由“苴却砚”演变而来的图形,代表了与苴却砚博物馆呼应。最后整体的图形中加入了中国传统玉玺的元素,仿佛如瑰宝一般。在颜色方面使用了C:0,M:100,Y:100,K:60的红色,是中国的吉祥色与传统的红色,意味着庄严,幸福和吉祥。
